The first thing that springs to mind when I hear the word circus is the constant cacophony that is my mind, particularly audible when trying to concentrate on the 3rd eye in yoga class. But that’s a different story. The 2nd thing is the commercial spectacle that travels around the world featuring sad looking animals and scary dressed up men. Moving on…
What do you do when you receive this in the post?
Well obviously panic ensues, but when things begin to settle down a little, you start wishing you had a stylist in the family, or at least as a close friend.
So when this invite arrived in my particular letterbox, and after I finished off my calming beverage and racked my brain for solutions, my mind eventually connected a few dots, and I realized I do have the perfect friend. The same person who advised me on suitable attire for my (almost) meet-and-greet with the artist formerly known as The-Artist-Formerly-Known-As-Prince, now known as Prince; the stylist currently known as Carina.
Circus chic, lion tamer trash, clown cool… she’ll know what to do!
Carina – over to you.
Note to Stylist – to arrive at the festivities one needs to march through a forest and wade across a large field, just something to factor into the plan…
